                                         GOING TO WORK 
Honesty has been going to work in her last two tournaments. At the Penn Jersey Tournament, she put on a show like she normally does. The point guard was in double figures in all four games leading the Lady Heat to a 4-0 record. The following week, the Lady Heat traveled to Ocean City, NJ where Honesty and the crew made their presence be known. They also went undefeated in the 13U division where she had a combine total of 58 points in four games.

Profile: A natural point guard is what she is, this girl has a nice handle in can break down a defense. Lauryn can shoot but her game is pass first, she is a very crafty guard who makes good decision when at the point position. Lauryn has been with the DM Panthers for a few years now, let's see what they can do down at the Nationals.

Profile: She is a very strong point guard, who show that this weekend at the Comets tournament in King of Prussia PA. This girl is a excellent defender who has a high motor in plays nonstop, a great passer Yndiah also can score. She had 12 point in game one, and in game two she finish with 9 points on Sunday, because of her great upper body strength Yndiah finishes strong when going to the basket.

Profile: A true athlete she is, her strength in determination allows Sammy to play all Five positions. She's 5'8 but can play in the post, this girl is relentless on the boards were she gets a lot of second chance shot's that are missed, also Sammy has a nice little handle which helps her get to the basket with easy.

Profile: Christina is a very versatile player, she has a nice mid-range jump shot but her biggest asset is her low post game. This girl has unbelievable  low post moves, she is only 6'1 but plays well with her back to the basket.This year Christina lead her high school team to there first ever state title.

Profile: This girl plays extremely hard whether it's on offence or defence, Olivia showed that at the Penn Jersey Tournament blowing by her defender in going hard to the cup. She has a nice little handle,and she seems to always want to get her teammates involved.

Profile: She is a strong physical guard, who plays well off the dribble. Yasmeen is hard to guard when  driving to the basket, Because of her size in strength she can get to the basket with easy. A very good defender, sometime she has to guard the three and the four positions. At 5'7 Yasmeen can guard just about anybody, this girl is a natural athlete.

Profile: Lauren plays the one and the two spot very well, she is a pure shooter and can shoot the lights out when necessary. Lauren has a smooth game, also Lauren can switch to the point position which makes it very difficult for teams to guard her.

Profile: This 7th Grader looks like she has been playing up for a while, she has a lot of room to grow. Chrissy has a nice touch to her game, she has good hands in can run the floor well for her size. Standing at 6'0 Chrissy has the ability to guard smaller or bigger defenders while in the post.

Profile: She is a very quick guard who's decision making and ball handling skills are great, Morgan show that at the Penn Jersey tournament in Pomona, NJ last weekend. In two game's she was in double figures in point's and in assist, the 5'8 point guard also has good court vision and awareness in can score buckets if she has to.

Profile: A Point Guard who plays the position well for a 7th grader, at the Penn Jersey tournament, Bailey showed off her dribbling skills. She was penetrating and dishing to her teammates and making things happen when she had to. Bailey's basketball IQ is incredible.

Profile: Princess is a very tremendous athlete who plays all five positions, not because she has to but due to her love of the game of basketball. Princess' size and strength allows her to do anything she wants against smaller defenders. At 5'10, her aggressiveness and ball awareness is great. She can block shots, rebound, score and defend well.

Profile: The lanky point guard seems to have the natural ability to play any position the Comets ask her to, she is a great scorer and rebounder and at times Lauren draws a lot of attention from other teams. She gets double team a lot and in there last tournament in the Championship they uses a box in one to try in contain her. This big guard can create her own shot when she has to, the leading scorer for the 11U Comets Lauren has a smooth game on the court just like her attitude.

Profile: This Combo Guard is a very well-rounded player, who has the ability to play the point if they allow her. But the strength to her game is shooting. Madison is a sharp shooter and can pull up from anywhere on the floor, 10 Foot, 12 Foot. She's just about accurate when in her range. At the Regionals, she sank a couple of Money Balls in the Championship.

 Profile: Kimmy is very talented, she has a smooth game or should I say that Kim just plays with a lot of finesse. At the Super Regionals, Kim led her team to the Championship, where they got a win against the Comets in the finals. The 6'0 Evans is only a 7th Grader and she still is growing. She comes from a family of athletes who are 6'0 or more.

DOUBLE TROUBLE AT THE SUPER REGIONALS

                    Victoria Wagner and Catie Ebner shined at the Super Regionals in Lakewood, NJ. The pair was double trouble for some teams because of their size and strength. The 6'3 Center and Power Forward were hard to guard, they are a mere image of each other. Both girls have low post moves and Mid-Range jump shots, and on occasion Victoria and Catie can sink the three ball for the Jersey Shore WildCats.

Profile: This Combo Guard is great at running the floor and she showed thatat the Super Regionals in Lakewood, NJ a few weeks ago.She can get to the basket very easily with her height and athleticism. Amayla was the leading scorer on Sunday Finishing with 17 Points in the Mid-Atlantic Championship.

 Profile: Mary-Kate is the real deal. This Power Forward/Center is very tough to  handle for being an 8th Grader. She is a very physical player on offense and defense. At the Super Regionals, Mary-Kate dominated the competition with her 5"11 frame with almost recording a Triple Double scoring 26 Points, 12 Rebounds, and 6 Blocks. She has unbelievable foot work that you must see in person.

COMETS TAKE HOME ANOTHER CROWN


The Comets brought home another title this weekend when they won the Mid-Atlantic Championships 11U Division. They went 5-0 in the tournament, in which they were lead by point guard Lauren Ross. The Comets also got a big contribution from Amayla Sharif and the reserves.

2012 SUPER REGIONALS

JERSEY SHORE WILDCATS

In the 11th grade championship, despite playing up, the Jersey Shore Wildcats beat The Celtics. The Wildcats were lead by Catie Ebner with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Wildcats, which were 9th graders, showed outstanding skills. The Wildcats dominated from beginning to end. Coach Russell Olsen and his staff did a fine job with the team.  Julie Rovito had 10 points for the losing Celtics.

2012 SUPER REGIONALS

PHILLY COMETS

A great fifth grade team the Philly Comets beat the Magics in a close game of 27-26. The Comets was down by six with two minutes left on the clock and pulled out an outstanding win. The Comets was lead by point guard Lavern Ross and #23 Alisha Lewis a.k.a. Ms. Jordan, as she rocks the number proudly as Jordan did himself. Alisha is a real scrappy player and plays real tough defense. Congratulations Comets.

2012 SUPER REGIONALS


                                          SOUTH JERSEY TAR HEELS
Mary-Kate Gedaka, an eighth grade basketball player, played in the Super Regional Championship game on Sunday, May 6, 2012. Mary-Kate scored 22 points, had 12 rebounds and 6 blocks. Standing 5’11, Mary-Kate had great footwork, a tremendous spin move, and is a very aggressive player on offense and defense.  Also, on the South Jersey Tar Heels team, Maggie McIntyre showed great talent scoring 15 points.  At the end of the game The South Jersey Tar Heels beat their opposing team JKMBA Jaguars.
