Diary Of A Female Baller: Leiya Stuart 20' East Stroudsburg, PA - St. George's HS, RI. Entry #8

Leiya Stuart

Hello Basketball World, I'm Back With Week 8 Of My Final Diary.

Monday - Today my father and I went to the gym at 6:30am. We started with shooting 140 stationary shots and  then moved on to finishing around the rim. We stayed for about 2 hours before heading to Panera. Once I got home, I took a shower and spent a couple of hours working on some SAT/ACT assignments on Khan academy. After that, I watched tv and relaxed for the rest of the night.

Tuesday - Today my father and I started the day at the gym at 6:30. Similarly to yesterday, I started with 140 stationary shots but then moved on to ball handling and different types of shots off the dribble. When I got home I ate breakfast, took a shower, and continued to work on some of my SAT/ACT assignments on Khan academy. My parents and I went to the movies later on to see The Greenbook. The movie was about a black pianist who defies the stereotypes set on African Americans during the 60s. The movie was extremely interesting and we enjoyed not only the message but it’s comic relief on a real issue. Following the movie, we went back home and watched some college basketball games on tv.

Wednesday - Today my father and I started the day at the gym at 6:30. We started off with 140 stationary shots and then moved on to mid range jumpers and layups in traffic. After we left, we went to Panera. When I got home I took a shower and continued to work on my SAT/ACT practice assignments. Later on, I watched tv and relaxed for the rest of the night.

Thursday - Today my father and I went to the gym at 6:30. We started off, like always, with 140 stationary shots and then moved onto playing one on one for a while. When I got home I ate breakfast, took a shower, and watched shows on my computer for a while. Later on that night, I watched the Duke vs Syracuse game with my parents.

Friday - Today my father and I started the day in the gym at 6:30. I put up 140 stationary shots and then moved on to ball handling and finishing moves around the rim. When I got home I ate breakfast, took a shower, and worked on SAT/ACT practice assignments. Later on that night, my family and I watched the Duke vs UNC game.

Saturday - Today I woke up, ate breakfast, and went grocery shopping with my mom. When we got back home, I worked on my SAT/ACT assignments for a couple of hours. I took a break to go shoot outside on my outdoor hoop for about an hour and a half. After dinner, I showered and went to bed early.

Sunday - Today I woke up at about 6:15am to get ready for my AAU practice in Connecticut. My parents and I left the house at 7:30 and went to eat breakfast at Panera. It took us about three and a half hours to get to Ethel Walker High School. This was the first time that I was working out with my team so I was really excited. We had practiced for about three hours, working on various drills and scrimmaging. Following practice, my parents and I went to go eat at California Pizza Kitchen before heading home.
