Hello Basketball World, I'm Back With My 5th Week Of My Diary.

Monday - Today my team and I headed back to school from our long weekend in New York. We left Long Island at around 10 or 11 and got back to school at 2:45. We then had practice from 3:30 to 5:00. For most of the practice we conditioned by running sprints and going through various workout stations. Before heading back to my dorm, I ate dinner with the team. Later, I showered, unpacked my clothes, and completed my homework for the rest of the night.

Tuesday -  Today I woke up and went to the gym at 6:30am with a teammate. We worked on shooting around the perimeter, focusing on our side step and step back. Today for school I had a full schedule with all my subjects. My most enjoyable classes were Calculus and History. In Calculus I had received a test that I had taken last week and scored a 96 percent. For the rest of the period, we discussed the recurring mistakes people made on the exam. In History, we began watching another film on the condition of the North and the South as they prepared for the Civil war. Following school, I headed to practice from 3:30 to 5:00. Tomorrow is gameday against Pomfret so we focused on our offensive sets. Following practice, I went to dinner before heading back to my dorm. To finish the night, I showered and then completed my homework.

Monday: Today I woke up and got ready school. My first period class was Calculus. We took a quiz on ingrands and antiderivatives of trigonometric functions. My next period class was English. We continued our study of Moby Dick, while exploring the overarching theme of how people relate to the ocean. We used our journals to write an analysis of our prediction to how the story will end. After lunch, I had a Spanish tutoring lesson. My teacher is from Ecuador and we skype once a week, typically during my free periods. After School, I had basketball practice. During practice, we primarily focused on conditioning and defense. Following practice, I went to the dining hall to eat before heading to my dorm. After taking a shower, I finished the night with completing my homework.

Tuesday: On Tuesdays, I have full schedule with all my subjects. My most favorable classes today were Biology and History. In Bio, we started a new chapter focusing on gene expression along with transcription and translation. In history class, we had  discussed the Dred vs Scott case, along with other events leading up to the civil war. After school, I had practice. Tomorrow we have a a game, so we focused on offensive sets. These next couple of games are extremely important because they can greatly impact where SG is in the playoff standings. Following practice, I went to the dining hall to eat before heading back to my dorm. I did not have a lot of homework so for the rest of the night I helped one of my friends prepare for her chemistry test.

Hello Basketball World, I'm Back With The 3rd Week Of My Diary.

Monday - Today I woke and was not feeling well. I spent most of the day in the health center and left around 4:45 pm. At 5:00 I watched my basketball practice, while completing the homework that I had for the following day. After practice, I went back to the health center to get more medication and went to bed early.

Tuesday - Today I woke up feeling more energized than Monday. On Tuesdays, I have a full schedule so I tend to be very busy.. The classes that I enjoyed the most today were AP Chem and English. In AP Chem, we reviewed for our upcoming test on rate law expressions, solubility, and solvation. In English, we are currently reading Moby Dick. We annotated and analyzed a set of chapters that will be the focus in our final projects of the trimester. I had also received a grade back from one of the essays I wrote last week, and got an A-. After classes, I had practice at 3:45. We scrimmaged against the Boys JV basketball team and focused on our transition defense. When practice finished, I went to dinner before heading back to my dorm for study hall. When my homework was complete, I finished the night with watching shows on my computer.

Wednesday - Today I woke up and went to the Health center to get more medication. The classes I had for the day were AP Bio, AP Chem, and History. In AP Bio, we reviewed the DNA replication process. In history, we had a debate about the significance of the Compromise of 1820; and in AP Chem, we started a lab that related to the properties of crystal violet. After class, I went to the gym to get ready for the game I had at 4:15 against BB&N. It was tough win, with a score of 48-43, and I had 17 points. After the game, I showered, ate dinner, and completed my homework for the night.

Thursday - Today I woke up and got ready for school. In Bio, I took a test that was on Mendel genetics, DNA replication, and Chromosomal inheritance. In math, we reviewed problems that would show up on the AP exam in the spring. I had also gotten back the quiz that I took on Monday and received a 100. Following classes, I had practice at 3:45. We focused on conditioning that involved various workout stations such as, burpees, ball handling, weight holds, etc . When practice was finished, I  showered, ate dinner, and completed my homework for the rest of the night

Friday - Today I woke up and went to the health center to get some more medication. Similar to Tuesdays, Fridays are also a full and busy schedule for me. The classes that I enjoyed the most today were History and AP Calc. In history, we further discussed the compromise of 1820, but also explored other compromises that occurred during that time period. In Calc, we were introduced to inverse trig functions. After classes, I had practice at 3:45. My Coach introduced new variations in our offensive sets and focused on our transition defense. When practice was finished,  my teammate and I took an ice bath for about 20 or 30 minutes before heading to the Boys Varsity basketball game. I got back to my dorm around 8pm, and ordered Chinese food with my teammate to finish the night.

Saturday - Today I woke up and had ACT testing for about 4-5 hours. After that, I grabbed lunch and headed to the gym to shoot on the gun with a possible incoming recruit. After shooting, I stayed in the gym to watch a boys basketball game. Following the game, I went to practice the piano for a couple of hours, before taking a shower . Later on, I went to the grocery store and for the rest of the night I watched shows on my computer.

After shooting, I went back to my dorm to shower and go to my classes. Today I had AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Calc, and history. After school, I had practice for two hours. We were preparing for our game on Wednesday, so we used up a substantial amount of time focusing on our plays. After practice, I took a shower and completed my homework for the rest of the night.

Wednesday - Today I woke up and did my daily morning routine. The classes that I had today were history, AP Bio, and AP Chem. It was game day at Nobles, so after class, I got my lunch and went on our travel bus. Unfortunately, we lost the game 35-71, and I had 19 points. Once arriving back to school, I went to shower and completed my homework per usual.

Thursday - Today I woke up and  did my daily morning routine. I did not have class for the first part of the morning, so I went out to eat with my parents. After school, I had practice for an hour and a half. To prepare for our FNL game tomorrow, we focused on our plays and corrected the things we did poorly on against Nobles. After practice, I did my nightly routine; taking a shower and completing my homework.

Friday - Today I woke up and did my daily morning routine.  The classes that I had today were History, AP Chem, AP Calc, and English. After school, I got dressed in preparation for our home Friday night lights game against Cushing Academy. It was an exciting win with a final score of 72-39 and I had put up 31 points. After the game, my parents took me out to eat in Middletown. Once they dropped me back at my dorm, I took a shower and finished my homework for the night.

Saturday - Today I woke up and did my daily morning routine. The classes I had today were AP Bio, AP Chem, and history. After school, my team went boxing at a local studio that my coach goes to. We jumped rope, worked on combo hits with gloves, and core exercises. After returning back to school, I showered and watched some TV. I began to feel under the weather, so I went to the health center to get medication. After receiving what I needed, I then went to play the piano and relaxed for the rest of the day.

Sunday -  Today I woke up and did my daily morning routine. Then I went to the gym and made 306/425 (72%) shots on the shooting gun. After shooting, I began to feel sick again so I went back to the health center. The nurse gave me more medication for my symptoms. I then headed back to my dorm, took a shower, and tried to rest for the rest of the day.
